This painting is centered around the "Cherry Pop" color (#530 in Naomi Kuno's Colorscape book). I started with the search term "cherry", which the search engines linked to walnut and oak. Nearly recognizable objects that I found on the web are scattered around on the canvas, but the overall effect is somewhat abstract. I gave birth to my first son in the middle of the time I spent working on this painting, so it's possible that some of the turbulence and excitement of my life at this time is reflected in the artwork.
