02-22-11. Visiting the future Big Car Gallery Service Center for the first time.
This is kind of a big deal. This is the new space for the Big Car art gallery in Indianapolis. Right now it's raw, an empty former Firestone garage in front of the pathetic Lafayette Square Mall. Big Car's goal is to bring new life to the neglected west side of town, bring the community together, show art, plant a garden, etc. This is square one. Lots of work to do.
Evolution of the Starfish
A still life of two plastic toy starfish and a Ty Beanie Babies doll of Patrick from SpongeBob Squarepants.

My art is on display at Goose the Market's Enoteca!
Folks over at FriendFeed might vaguely remember me mentioning a top-secret art sale a few months ago. It was top secret because it was a birthday gift for Christopher Eley, the owner of Goose the Market, the awesome gourmet deli and restaurant at 25th & Delaware in Indianapolis. Now, when you go taste specialties at the Enoteca in the basement, you can also see my artwork on display! It's a drawing in the style of my daily sketches. It's about my own first visit to the Enoteca, where I tried marcona almonds, assorted olives, and Xingu black beer from Brazil. So anyway, of course I was happy to see the drawing again, all framed and pretty on the wall.
